In order to create a more professional portfolio I have trialled different paper types and brands
I created a test strip of my final 9 images on Photoshop with a brightened and more contrasted strip in the lower quarter to gauge the print quality and test for colour correctness.
I then printed:
The Epson archive matte produced amazing quality and really showed the depth in my images, the blacks and whites all look outstanding. The images match what I saw in Photoshop.
The ICE glossy photo paper was a disappointment, streaky and cheap looking, despite the inkier blacks the print looks less crystal sharp and seems to lack quality. I will definitely use the matte paper.
